Lily Simpson’s five-day healthy New Year meal plan from The Detox Kitchen

Through her meal-delivery service, cookbook and London delis she has succeeded, proving that eating well needn’t mean flavour-free diets. Here, Lily shares her five-day meal plan exclusively with us to inspire your New Year boost. Start the week with a granola breakfast, cabbage and pepper salad for lunch and a nourishing broccoli soup for dinner CREDIT: KEIKO OIKAWA

Breakfast: Pecan granola


500g (10 servings)


  • 400g porridge oats
  • 50ml rice milk
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 100g pecans, roasted
  • handful of berries and 2 tbsp coconut yogurt, to serve


Preheat the oven to 180C/gas mark 4. Line a baking tray with baking paper.

Mix the oats, milk, coconut oil and honey together, creating little clumps.

Spread on to the tray and bake for 15-20 minutes. Leave to cool, then combine with the pecans.
